I am looking to upgrade my stock turbo and I have narrowed it down to ATS Aurora 3000 or Industrial injection Super Phat shaft 62. Does any one here have some input or experience with either one to offer me any advise? I am tempted to go with industrial but I am not sure. Thanks for any help.

 

I just sold my aurora 3000. The only thing that was not very cool was that my overdrive does it's thing at about 1400 rpm, but with the aurora 3000 I couldn't begin to build boost until exactly 1500 rpm which ended up making tons of smoke and no power. Another thing I didn't like is that I couldn't roast the tires at a normal launch because there was some initial lag, the old stock holset would like my tires (duallie) right up.

I just bought a ATS twin (A2000 & A5000) In my opinion it's worth the money to just save up for twins

 

i have the silver 62 gen 3 and love it a huge improvment with great manors for a daily driver when its time to commute to work and awsome spool up and boost when i max out the pmt settings.

 

I've owned 2 II turbos.....

the Silver series are really good turbos!

 

Something to think about is what do you realistically want the turbo to do? If you want great street manners and be a weekend warrior come Saturday you are going to have a tough time with a single turbo and maybe twins are the way to go.

I might no where you can come across a super phat shaft 62 !!! I would go with II for sure ive been the HTT route too great customer service and good turbos only mine didnt like diesel filled oil to much and blew the seals. Both of those two companies I recomend I dont have to much experience with ATS but I personally wouldnt go that route just my .02.

 

i have 10k on my II sps 62/14. i love it. good spool, cooled the egts towing, and supports over 500. what more could i ask for?

 

I was thinking of going with the II SPS 62/14 but the guys at Luguna Speed told me I was better off with a High Tech Turbo 64 for towing. Is this the way to go for every day use for towing?

 

I like my HTT 64...it does all the work till 25 psi or so before my S-400 kicks in...
