I know they say "there is no such thing as a stupid question", but this probably is.

I'm looking at buying the Quad standard box, but a little unsure how to buy it online and how it all works. I've heard of the great customer service that Quad provides, so does that mean i need to buy it from them direct? In saying that I see that there is a fair price difference between buying it from quad direct and buying it through DTR - how does that work?

Also I hear that there are reflashes/upgrades to the boxes, so if I buy direct from Quad am I more likely to get the latest/upgraded version?
