You can cut the power down below stock, so you could run a big injector, but cut your progam down so low that you can still have good mpg and a smokeless daily driver.

How does that work? If you are not supplying enough pressure to those injectors they will not be firing right, correct? Also, if you cut back that much aren't you going to have problems spooling turbos? I would think you would still see mpg gain on lower setting, not 50% of stock. I guess I might be confused a little bit, maybe even a lot.

Pressure still goes up to normal stock levels with the PoD turned down.I think it is just cutting the duration back to compensate for the larger flow of big inj.I can turn mine down to 45 (pretty close to stock feel) and floor it with virtually no smoke.Excelleration, boost and egt's all are close to what a stock truck would see.The more the truck is bombed the less the # to dial in on the PoD for stock feel.

The lowest I have ran mine for any significant amount was a 20 mile trip to town.Set it on 30.Could not get egt's over 900* on any of the grades around here, also couldn't pass anybody with ease.Had to bump it back up a little for the return trip home.

I'm sure there is more than cutting fuel back going on.Only Bob and Marco know that answer.I know I can run level 9 tnt/r and make my truck have less power than stock by running anything below 40 on the PoD.

I got the POD from Bob @ SEMA, got home to try it out, pretty cool. I was hoping to use it as a security system also. Set the power level to 0, which 1/2 stock, then set the other power level to 00. Tried to drive the truck, it died once, was able to get 12mph, wont rev over 1400rpm. It sure annoyed me to drive it, thinking the same with a theif. It wont pull it self up any hill or grade. But need to find a 90' degree obo ii plug/adapter as the plug in is right in the way the clutch pedal.

you could always unbolt the port under the dash and move it somewhere to your liking.

Thanks POD!

My truck with the injectors alone (and the MP-8 at 5%) made close to 450 hp...so it is wild to imagine the Smarty can reduce it far less than that. I put 100 miles at even lower settings...33% but the tranny is a little confused and shifts hard.

So 50% power is the ticket when I don't need it.
excuse my stupidity but did you dyno the PoD at 50 and make 350hp? i've been running around on 18-20 and was wondering how much less power i'm at. if that's were you're at, then i have a pretty good idea where i'm at.

i've also been trying to find the best milage setting for me, and won't have concrete #'s til i fill up this weekend, but so far i have around 300mi(300-310mi) on this tank and still have a little bit more than half a tank left. that's driving empty on country roads in western pa where there isn't a straight or flat road anywhere. i think i can do better next time since i've narrowed down what number i want to run.

I would say 50% is more like 400 hp on my truck...I can still hit 40 psi of boost on my twins.

33% was maybe 300 hp.

I refueled an have driven a "normal" 100 miles since...fuel gauge has barely moved.
