My question is who has actually proven any benifit from this mod?

SOTP does not mean squat I am interested in real world results!

Has any one provided Dyno improvments? ET improvments? Or best sent there pump in for independent testing before and after pressures and flow rates?

I'd like to see confirmed results as well. I don't think we'll see the manufacturers chiming in on this one. No one seems to want to admit how much or should I say how little work goes into a stg 1 CP3.

I agree. Or I would expect a its propriatary information.

I would be willing to consider finding some one with the kit installed and paying the 200 to have it tested with the kit and with out.

what test,a flow bench type?im sending my cp3 to wicked on monday to upgrade to a stage 2,he can easily pull the arson kit off and test and back on and test again if he has the equipment and is willing?,but i have talked to people who say the stage one cp3 is basically the arson or bag o parts,no internal mods

Rail pressure= power, no beans about it. Increasing it is extra power, above what you currently have. Any amount you can actually feel is a decent increase. A modified CP3, will and does increase delivery to the rail. If you look at delivery over time, it takes less time to achieve high rail pressures. This is termed as ramp rate, or a faster rise in pressure and higher sustained pressure. Anyone who does not think that a very fast rise in pressure, does not equate to better response is wrong. Also if you think dropping to 14k, versus holding above 23k, isnt 60-80 extra HP, then WRONG again! In the world of common rail Diesels, rail pressure means performance. Not everyone dyno's their combinations, but we all know when something runs better. Anyone wanting to see dyno results can PM me for the link.

Your not going to feel 40 to 50 HP by the seat of your pants! You may think you are but your only fooling your self if you think you can. I would love to see the dyno results.

I dont believe Wicked has a flow bench test jig and even if he did hes not a unbias 3rd party.

X2 WICKED,

Well said, something to also conider for the guys running higher RP ~20K and p is injector longevity..................... Higher RP=More Power = Better pedal response = shorter injector life.

Plain and simple it can be tough to get the combination correct!!!!!!!!

I would also argue that you can definately feel ~25HP in the SOTP, even lower if you are really paying attention.

Well I don't lie, thats for darn sure. How would you know what equipment I have? I most certainly do have a test stand. It didn't cost $70k, but it does the job. Are you here telling the world that your butt can't tell the difference in a 40 hp increase. You might need to see a doctor if thats the case. We use to install those free trial downloads, most of them were about 50 horsepower. People would come back very impressed, and buy a downloader. I guess they were all wrong though, oh well.

Im not calling you or any one else a Liar and am not trying to imply that you are! Like I said I didnt believe you had a test stand you do and that thats great. How about some pressure and flow #'s then? I am just asking for tangable results is all.

I guess I should have made my self more clear on SOTP. From stock yes you can feel the differance but when your already 450+ were a CP3 would be needed 50hp increases are not a SOTP fealing.

I'm sorry and mean no offense, but I disagree as well. I can very easily feel the difference between say Level 7 and Level 9 of the Smarty, ie 40hp, or when stacking the TST I can feel when I turn up the power too much and feel the same power drops that I have seen when playing on the dyno. And I am over 500hp. I will say that 25hp may not be easily detectable. Just my 2 cents. Tac

How would you not feel it even on a more modded truck? Say if your running turbo/smarty/ intake and exahust and a ad150 and say your rp is dropping off.. Well you put the arson kit on and it maintains a higher rp of course your going to feel a difference!!
