My dad has a 04 auto and wants to boost power and mpg's. He's not computer savy so what would be the better choice in this case?

anything is pretty easy... Id suggest a power pup. Plug it in, choose your setting and let it program. Tells ya what to do.

I would suggest the Edge Juice with Attitude. You may have to set it up for him, but when set properly it will defuel the motor if it senses that EGTs are too high or boost is too high. You can literally set it to defuel at safe settings and then not even pay attention to it. I would also say that its more friendly to the ECM than the power pup.

I read all the post's about the predator, what is the reason for having to reload upgrades to it every so often? Are they all like that?

All programmers are like that...or all that i have ever seen. Bullydog has a list of online upgrades just like the diablo predator. I have not seen superchips upgrades, but theres not much info here on them. they are fairly new to the diesel world.

when i got my Juice/A2, the software in the A2 was out of date. it barely worked at all. BUT thats the software in my touch screen GPS unit. There aren't online upgrades for the Attitude monitor.

I have never seen regular modules having to be upgraded...well unless you upgrade your standard edge juice to the HOT Juice
