Drove 1.5 hrs on highway this week with tow box, got a 0236 code and lost power while passing.anyone else have this problem?also in drive way I reved engine it shot up to 4500 rpms stayed for a couple seconds then came back down what was that?

 

From what I've read.Code P-0236 is a Boost pressure sensor performance issue.I'd check out the harness for the boost sensor 1st. Your engine runaway issue should have set at least 2 other codes.are you sure it hit 4500 rpm?Or did it rev more than you expected,& the tack showed that high.If it did rev that high,I would be concerned .As to what would cause it.???I'd have to read the rest of the codes.Hope it helps.

 

no other codes came up when it revved that high.btw it is an 05 automatic.and on the highway I guess it went into limp mode that is when it threw the code.

 

I'm having the same problem but with one extra code P0069. I have changed the box twice and replaced the map sensor and air temp sensor which is the one at the air filter box. I now have a new harness coming from quad sould be here today, I will post the out come.
