ive been reading up on head units, the one im most likely going with is the kenwood touchscreen gps navi unit. its a double din and reqiures a custom install though. it has anything you could ever want. mp3, ipod, bluetooth, camera inputs, dvd player, etc... plus you can use it as a brain for other inputs.. ill be running a 17" flip-down, and an xbox 360 through it.

I pulled my factory unit today to see if I had RCA's to run an amp - no such luck. I have the tweeters in the pillar - is that the Infinity system in a 2001?

Got my new Alpine 9856 today from Car Toys ....free install. $230 something including taxes out the door.....including the cable connecting the IPOD and new faceplate/mount. Coincidently, I got a new IPOD today too from Best Buy...but I haven't got to try it in the truck yet. It is loading up now from my computer. Stereo sounds good to me...what little I have played it so far.

I love Alpine stuff. There may be better, but I have had great luck with all the ones I have had.

I was at Best Buy last night in Sherman. Man, everywhere I go it is CROWDED.

I just have a lowly 1GB nano myself. I bet you got a video model so you can watch COPS on it huh? LOL

Why would I want to watch that???... I have seen enough momma/papa drama to last a lifetime...

I got the video model so I can watch movies in between the momma/papa dramas at work...LOL. (just kidding) In actuality we barely get to eat lunch because we are so busy. Our call load is unbelieveable!

Ohh.....Don, I went to the Best Buy in McKinney....but wish I had gone to Sherman. Packed MAD HOUSE.

Alpine gets my vote too. They are some of the best for the money. But car audio is can be very expensive. You can easily spend close to a $1,000.00 and not get the sound of some factory systems out there now.

The stock Infinity in mine sounds great. It just needs a little more bass.
