Idea for Bedcap Interior Light
My A.R.E. cap only has a AA battery powered light.
I thought a good solution would be to mount a flashlight in one of the back corners of the cap. You could just press the switch for an interior light and have a flashlight handy at the back of the truck at all times.
The problem is how to mount it?
Obviously you can't drill into the fiberglass cap.
Any ideas on how to mount it?
TIA

The lid is the best place....easy to grab and if facing up and towards the front (which it would do naturally in that location) would provide the best light. It would also be completely out of the way of loading cargo etc. etc. Oh and you don't have to drop the tailgate to reach it....only the glass hatch.

Ok, in the days of doing body work we had a guy that could do anything with some fiberglass and resin. Do a search and see if you can find a way to bind it, just enough that you create a raised are that you could screw into. Ill do a little seaching for ya as well.

That would be great!
I'm surprised the cap companies or an aftermarket company hasn't already offered something like that.
It seems to be such a simple and effective solution.

my century royale has one installed already. its right kind of built into the third brake light. there is a switch you just reach up and slide it. the power comes off the third brake light wiring pigtail, which is wired up to the battery now. its pretty nice. its tucked up there, and i don't even know its there, but ya, its handy. i second the industrial velcro. we had some at work that we got from Lowes, the stuff is super strong. i think it would look best.
