HX40 on a 2004 truck
I had a super 40 on my first gen and it was very slow to spool. On that truck the stock turbo was too so it didn't matter. I liked it a lot on that truck, but I'm not so sure that it would be a very good choice for a common rail.
The HX40 is not ideal for our trucks, they are a little weaker and more intended for the 12 and 24 VP crew. If you are looking for a substantial volume increase more suited for a common rail, look at the Phat Shafts, HTT ss series, or the Garrett Ball bearing turbos.
