Most people notice the EGT's don't go down like they expected with a larger turbo. Just goes to show you how good the stock turbo really is!

Its not a drop I counted on, I just wanted a ceiling for my egts, instead of having the stocker hit 1450* I have the HTT that only hits 1300* with more power added, cruising and towing it does run a little hotter but the ceiling never leaves me.

Going from 1450 max to 1300 max would qualify as a drop.

The point was that the majority of people do not see the same drop in max temps that you did.

I meant a drop at cruising speeds man, I wasn't counting on that, I was counting on the drop at wot and when running it hard, and to be able to cool down quicker.

Understood.

Most people don't have your same experience and are therefore disappointed when their max EGT's don't drop.

Even if there's no drop in max EGT's, there are still power increases to be had, correct? I will not have any experience with the stock turbo. The HTT was bolted on before the engine ever went in the truck.

Depending on the truck and it's fueling, you could see a power increase. I didn't notice a power increase on mine (that was with stock injectors though).

Maybe mines a different animal, I saw a huge reduction in WOT pulls to 130mph or so. I could peg 1600* w/ my stocker(but I had an 03 turbo), when I went to the 62/65/14, my WOT max egts are maybe 1300*.

I guess I'll never know. I'd imagine with the Flux 2's, it should help me though.

That BD manifold kit looks to be well put together. The little extras make a differance. I'm running a old school sled puller 66/14 that does a fair job at arround 620 hp. Any more hp it doesn't control egts. Has anyone any experiance with the 66/71/13? The 66/71/13 looks like it would be a great street turbo for arround 625-650 hp.
