Thumbs up HTT Intercooler Installed

Got it installed yesterday. Looks amazing and functions so far so good. Install was very easy. My only compaint is that HTT did not provide new mounting bolts for the condenser bolts so I went out and bought some fancy stainless fasteners. I'll get a pic tommorrow of it on the truck. I was to busy to get a pic after I installed it. This thing is Huge. Soulezoo(Terry) gave me the heads up ahead of time to cut the bumper bolts prior to install. It took about a half hour start to finish. Great product.

That looks like a pretty hoss unit you have there. I like the polished tanks, they look sharp!

That is awesome. I am curious how much of an EGT drop you observed. One of the coolest parts of that mod is it only took 30 minutes in your driveway.

Please let us know on a significant drop in egt's. How much of a drop and with what settings.

I need to definitely drop egt's when I combine the Smarty with the TST box. There's much more power their but high egt's limit me.

I'm surprised you get that hot with only 90hp stix and twins and water/meth! on a WOT run at 60psi+ it did not go over 1550-1600 wich is good for me and my injectors are 175hp with a full rail. It will help a lot

I am pretty much in the same situation as you. So overall, do you think the intercooler was worth it and are you still going with twins? Jay

It is hard to justify the price for what you get but When you get to this level of power anything helps. No more $600 purchases to get 100hp. It does very well and cruising egt's are down 100deg. Uping the boost to 60psi actually helped a lot. But yes I'm still going to twins.

Anything over 1450 egt's is too high for an 03-04 cummins. You definitely don't want to hold such temps for a long duration. A spike here and there is fine.

I think later model cummins can go higher, but not too much.
