HTT Intercooler

I'm able To get the IC for a awesome price and was wondering if it will make a big difference, egt wise. My temps currently get hot and I need to cool them down a bit. Will this help a bunch or will I hardly notice? Thanx

I'd say you'll barely notice. The stock IC does a good job, it just can't handle the psi a aftermarket can. It's the combination of several component working together that helps what you're looking for.

I love mine. It seems the more mods you add, the better it works. With my truck set up the way it is, daily highway driving EGT's has been lowered by about 50 degrees on the highway; when towing, it has been lowered to about 100 degrees. I have seen more when towing up extreme inclines.

It and a ARC flow intake horn are my last ditch efforts for lower temps before I bite the bullet and go to twins. I'm not going to water meth

I have one-- for most stuff you will not notice a difference... I'll tell you the difference I can see-- and it is not really in the gauges. WIth the stock CAC, and I flogged the truck (with my twins) you couldn't touch either side of the CAC it was so hot. With the HTT under similar circumstances, then inlet side will be very hot, the outlet side is about ambient temp or a little more. This means the air going into the engine is a lot cooler which should help the egts... But only when you are on the edge already.

FWIW-- if you have a chance at one for a great price, jump on it-- you will not regret it; it is a beautiful unit. It weighs 75lbs!!! Stock is less than half that... there is some of the heat sink properties there.

Oh... yeah... with those big stix, you're gonna need the twins anyway.

Ya Ya I know. Just kinda waiting for funds. You know how it is. What size huffers did you end up going with? I Love the power its making but I don't think things are going to last long with these temps

Let's just say the huffers will be BIG for now... should be on in a couple of weeks and then I'll get the go ahead to report on them as well...

I am going to be kind of a beta tester for this particular get up.

FWIW... with your mods and stix and what not that HTT would be a good investment.
