Oh, believe me. You got one of the best 48RE transmissions that could be bolted to the Cummins. They are some stout trannies for sure.

It is good to see people has happy as i am with my HTS. Shifting is as strong as the day i put it in. I just got back from from Texas around 19hrs worth driving straight through seems to shift better(stronger) all the time.

hey all HTS guys. i have the street/race tranny full billet, tc/vb shift lever and when im slowing down( like rolling to a stop at 2-5mph) for a stop sign i have a pretty loud lockup back into first gear. is this norm? im gonna call dusty but just wondering, im ok with it as long as that is what it is supposed to be like just wondering if it needs a lil fine tuning

no not really. just a loud lock up. it could just be how hard the triple disc locks up. then another question... im running my smarty with beta 4.3 and when my tranny shifts to OD under about mild to medium acceleration it can make my turbo bark preety good. is this normally? when just with a light or heavy throttle it doesnt bark, any thoughts?

well nothing. here is what they offer... http://www.htstransmissions.com/Transmissions.html (scroll down below 48re)
with the street trans and race there are just some different internals. you still can choose what shafts you want to replace with billets but most people racing put all three in (input, intermediate, output)
