HPCR Fuel Pressure Gauge

I thought I read somewhere about a HPCR Fuel pressure gauge that reads rail pressure but I can't find anything on it in my search.

Is there such an animal and if so where do I get a couple?

Thanks
James

If you can...do a search on the TDR for "rail pressure gauge" under the 3rd gen performance forum.

There is a guy on there selling them. The gauge is a SPA brand and connects, inline with the factory sensor. Several of my customers run them and like them.

Oh, I guess you could try contacting SPA as well.

This isn't the spa guage but a new optix that Dleno is working on.

I like this one better. I am just a sucker for analog guages. What are we doing to cap off the relief valve. Any ideas. Thanks Cliff

I just e-mailed the guy..

This will be awesome if they can actually come through with a gauge since I've already got all DiPricol Gauges..

yea I'm working hard on it. Personally I am big fan of the SPA digital gauges -- I have eight channels (four duals) in my truck already. But for rail pressure I just really like the analog. I've been studying the rail for ever, it seems, and I just really like the way the analog gauge tells me what's going on real time. the needle is fast enough to follow the likes of the TST "draining" the rail with stock injectors on level 8/8, for example, but it doesn't get fooled by digital spikes and noise. In my experimentation, I found that a peak-detected spike of 26,500-27,000 was often hard to correlate with the associated power levels. So I tuned the front end of this gauge for just the right speed.

The gauge uses the factory sensor and hooks up just like a pressure box. no splicing or tapping. stacks with anything. So you have an independant measurement that can be used with anyone's pressure box, downloader, etc.

Its fascinating to see the behavior of pressure fooling, and how aggressive pressure boxes work. Also reveals the saturation point of the factory sensor and makes it pretty clear what numbers can be read directly from the sensor.

I chose the Pricol to make this gauge because of their stepper motor technology and Optix lighting. I hope everyone finds it as useful as I have. At least I hope I recover my expenses! .
Doug
