like the title says...how much hp have yall put on the southbend 3600 and had it hold? I never woulda thought I could go over the suggested hp ratings for any dual disk....but it may happen

 

They say 650 hp. The 3850 is for 750 hp.

 

the only reasons I dont want to go up to a 3850 is high rpm shifts and my clutch is BRAND NEW

 

Just for comparisons sake.....my buddy cheaped out and bought the OFE, rated for 450hp. He is currently turning 700hp (rotten guy ende up with more hp than me). He only has problems with that clutch launching at the track. It easily holds the hp when it is engaged, it just doesnt like the slipping off the line. His clutch has over 60,000 miles on it @ about 700hp, so I would imagine a dual disk will easily hold more hp!!!

 

ram, that makes me feel better, i have the ofe and thought i was pushing it at 543hp. since 80 hp nozzles go in next week, i was worried . i dont drag race with it, so maybe it will hold for a while longer.
