HP guess on an 04.5' ????

a buddy of mine has an 04.5 6 spd crew cab shortbed, a shop is telling him that with his BDDL (new triple dog with a supposedly new program that's 280hp???? anyone heard of this, guy says his BD rep sent it to him to try or somethin) then a set of 100hp injectors (don't know the brand) & then a set of twin turbos (HTB2/66 + B2 ) & a F.A.S.S. fuel system then a clutch upgrade, they're tellin him he should be over 750 RWHP???????? does this sound right, any ideas?????? thanks, Dusty

Most likely, he is closer to 450-500.

I doubt that he would get over 550rwhp without modded cp3 and/or NO2.

Don't know about the 750HP, but the new BDDL program he is referring to is for dealers only (some) and is dramatically different than what we have. It will most likely never be released to the public. Too bad as this program (tune) is killer. It has features that many here have been asking for. A true transmission eater, even modified.

that's what he was told, said it was guaranteed to smoke a stock tranny, or clutch, & it will in fact melt the clutch in his truck, & the smoke is unreal, as well as the EGT's, that thing runs terribly hot, & his turbo is showing signs of going south after only a couple of weeks, makes awful noises & the bearings aren't in too great of shape, it spins free unless you put a little up or down pressure on the shaft & then it gets real tough, think he's goin to twins anyhow, Dusty

Yes, parts can break when torque management is disabled. His turbo is toast, I can guarantee this much.

I was thinkin' I was gonna pull about 450 with my mods. That's with out twins, and the 280 box.

Here's what I figured

stock 275
hot juice 120-130
snow stage III 50-60
intake
exhaust
rokktech
tc

that should translate to around 450 at the wheels. I guess I need to get the snow kit and send in my juice for upgrade and then hit the dyno
