Homemade 6" Air intake, AKA the "whistler", tech write-up **Part 2**
Just ordered my stuff to make the whistler for today. I cant wait to get it in to put it together. THe only bad thing is that I forgot to order some of the t-bolt clamps off the intakehoses.com site. When I went back to order them they were put on back order. So i will have to find a local place to get them. I just wanted to double check but I need 4 6" id clamps and what is the one at the very bottom that attaches to the turbo. Is that a 4" or 5.5". Thanks for all the help and dedication that you have put into this thread. I cannot wait to get it on the truck.
sorry dude it's just not worth my time to weld these up anymore...the time/labor that goes into them is more then most people wanna pay so I stopped doing it.
your best bet is just putting it in the rubber elbow

Wondering if someone would be so kind to help me out here. Sorry if this has already been asked but theres a TON of pages to look though lol.
I just built and put this intake on my truck yesterday.... happy with the way it sounds, only complaint I would have is that after driving for a while I stopped and inspected my work. The whole intake felt pretty warm to me, I mean you can hold your hand on it but not comfortably, the alluminum especially felt very hot, is anyone else noticing this????
