Now that would be awesome. I love the pulling power mine has, it always just feels like I need one more gear

 

Anyone have any details of swapping a newer G56 (possibly from a wrecked truck) into an 06/07 with the old G56?

I would think if it really is the same transmission, just a different 6th speed ratio, then everything should bolt right in, no surprises. Right?

How much do yall think a used "new" G56 would cost me?

 

I did it with my ’05, the G56R, which comes behind the 6.7, bolts right up to our 5.9s.

All the gear ratios are different, only 5th is the same at 1:1.
