Boost hose?...or the intercooler boot? Not sure about that one, my HTT has bolts on the back of the intake side of the turbo, like maybe 8-10 of them, supposed to loosen them and turn...or re-clock the intake side so the intercooler boot hooks up to it correctly. I'm guessin that's it. But if its the boost hose to the wastegate, then that's bad on their part cause that thing should be all good to install and not do anything with it. Mine was, but also HTT.

I've got to make the factory boost hose work if i can. II told me that it would fit but I think they're full of it. They told me to use soapy water and it would be a booger but it would work its way on there. After two hours and a cup of soap, no dice. If I can't get some tricks to get the hose on there though I'll for sure try the website out. Thanks.

Its the hose going from the turbo to the intercooler. It lines up fine it just won't slide up over the turbo.

It will go on! Mine is the same way. Just put a little lube on it and put a screwdriver between the hose and turbo. start the bottom roll the screwdriver around the turbo and it will go on. It is a tight freakin fit but trust me it will go on. Don't use oil as a lube you want to use something that is slippery but will dry so the boot doesnt come off under a high amount of boost. Hair spray works great.
Good luck,
Topper

Alright I'll keep working on it. I haven't been using oil, just soapy water, but I'll see if the old lady has some hair spray. Thanks again man for all the help. I sure appreciate it.

I have it set for 62. My old one was seeing 60 after I cranked it up. I need to get some new boots than I'll turn this one up to 55 or so. I have blown a few stock boots with to much boost.

If you have some spray silicone use that. It will go on.

Well I have some but I just got through getting it on there with soap and some pliars. How do you turn it up? What boost was you seeing just bolting it up? Sorry about all the questions just find it interesting even though I get so aggrivated with it. Speaking of which now I can't get that bolt in the heater line below #6 now and my exhaust break is in the way. I'm calling it a night before I start takin the sledge to it.

Glad you got it on! Dont worry about turning it up. It should be set at around 40 psi. If after you run it for a while you can turn it up by turning the allen screw clock wise in the brass boost elbow. (Has the yellow hose attached to it). I had to cut the bracket that holds the heater hose. I dont have an exhaust brake so cant help ya there.

If you gollow that heater line forward, you will see it is bolted under the exhaust manifold to the block. You can loosen the line bolts and it will give you enough room to get that rear line/bracket onto the #6 lower mani stud.

It's kind of tight under the manifold, but with a little patience you can take the bolts out and get them back in. Like Topper, I just cut mine off closely to the hose side of the bracket, then drilled a hole in the bracket and used a clamp to re-attach it to the bracket after I put the bracket on #6.

When they put a turbo together, they actually set it up for a particular boost. Call them and ask them what it is set up for, then check that against your boost gauge reading.

Installing this stuff CAN be rather frustrating. When it is getting to you, take a break. It will all of a sudden become much easier when you have just walked away and taken a break.

The factory boots are a PITA, they WILL need replaced anyway, cannot take the kind of boost you will be throwing at them. Measure your stuff and get replacements of better quality. You'll get to wrestle with them again anyway when they fail but you will be better at them the next time.
