Just bought the same think for my 2nd gen race project, its on the engine but has'nt yet been fired up. Hopfully this weekend. Hope you like it, what turbine housing did you go with? I tried the 13ss because were running only 1/8 mile this year and wanted better spool, Dave said it would be perfect. He said expect 650-700 with NO problem at all. He said thier very durable and the only shaft breakage hes seen was due to a foriegn object being sucked in w/o an air cleaner. Boost is set at 45 on the bench by himself and he said running it up to 70 psi is ok but temps can get out of hand there. I plan to see how she runs in the 45-55 range...good luck and let us know

Hope you don't have too much trouble driving around the 66's spool with your auto...

Could be a little slower spool than you would want at low rpm on the street, but it sounds like you have the supporting fuel to go with it. Big sticks, strong tuner and some pressure- sounds good to me. Might be a little notaciblely slower spool but im quessing it will still be lite and pulling to the moon by 8 lbs or so , maybe 10. I'll hold the convertor tell i get out of that spot..he he he

Your drag truck is gonna weigh half what one of our pigs does, and it probably won't need to operate off-idle/low RPM very much! Perfect for a big single.

I wouldn't hesitate to row a pig through the gears with a 66 on the street though...

From what Dave said, i def. would have gone with a 13cm in your case for the street, 14 at the very largest. The 16 Might pull a bigger top end number but def. at the expense of some low end- the low end is what is so nice for everyday on the street. Have you run it yet?

A 66 drives fine on the street...

I ran an A5k for 100k...no worries. Don't be afraid!

Wow - a 66 with a 16cm housing on a street-driven auto?

You're braver than I am!

Its all about having the correct conveter flash and stall.

Anyways...an A5k is bigger than that turbo...

True enough - and it's also a matter of the kind of street manners you'll accept from your ride.

It wont have that snappy bottom end though thats so fun on the street, and i bet she'll be pleanty smokey down there too. Ya Mike i hope your right on the weight statement i weighed the complete rolling rig couple days ago minus the engine/ tranny, driveshaft, cooling system, battery and it was 2160??? The little glide is light too, i picked it out of the truck and carried over to the shop- its cant be over 150 its self, maybe another 30+ though for the special 11" convertor. I hope to re weigh next week since its complete- what your quess on a total number? I feel it will be under 4k - i hope.
