if I had less fuel I would run a 66 on my truck, I run a 71mm and it really doesnt take to much to spool it with lots of fuel, it will light when you want it to

the 64/65/13 ss will do you the best for your setup IMHO .........
I would say that it's not the housing size but the compressor size that is too big for that much tire.

A smaller housing is a band-aid to try and create spoolup where it otherwise wouldn't be. How is it that housings can be ideal for a 62, a 64, and a 66 mm compressor, all of which have VERY different flow capacities?

IMO, the efficiency penalty is too high, and only a 62mm class turbo should consider the smaller 13cm housing. The 13cm housing is simply too small for the larger compressors, imo.

Compare these to the A/R of the Garretts. HTT told me that the 13cm housing is about .7 A.R, and the 16cm housing is about .9 A/R. The Garrett stg 2 is .89 and the stg 3 is .99 A/R. Garrett apparently thinks that a 63.5mm inducer needs a housing larger than .89, because they went up a size to .99 on the stg 3 (63.5mm inducer). A 66mm inducer flows a lot more than a 64 does, yet even a 16cm housing is too small for Garrett to consider on a 64mm charger!

Consider that the HX35 turbo came factory with a 12cm housing and only a 54mm inducer. A 66mm inducer can flow almost double that-- yet you're barely enlarging the turbine housing? And let's pause to remember that the HX35 was already a choked up turbo with an excessively small turbine housing.

No way would I do that. A 66mm turbo needs the largest housing for it that you can find. The Silver Bullet gets away with the 14 housing because of the larger turbine. IMO, the HTT 16cm housing is an advantage for HTT.

Also, a 65mm turbine has no place on a truck with over 100 additional hp. Those chargers are for guys who are towing heavy weights at modest hp levels.

JMO-- all philosophy, no experience, so YMMV.

alot of turbo "experts" really oversimplify the specs the vendors provide to describe their turbos...62/14/65.....That can vary alot with the same vendor and different vendors...the shape of the turbine and compressor housing...the inducer and exducer sizes...extended tip or not...number of blades....all varies....the only thing that is relevant is the efficiency map of the turbo and the #'s of air it is gonna flow at a given speed. A 16cm prostreet 66 is a laggy turbo without Smarty...with it is OK...The guy I bought my silver truck from with couldn't spool his with any version of the TST...you need lots of fueling down low to get it to 20psi...then hold on....but it can surge...between idle and 20psi...expect a smoke show unless your running squeeze....a 14cm housing like the SB works well because they are designed to work well. I think a SB will outperform the ProStreet 16....even the 74. KS

I think to we have to remeber the 13ss was not a turbine housing used on a prduction line somewhere, its a special cast piece designed for this application. Ive studied mine and the wastgate passages or impressive and so much diff. in size and design then the others. Dave said it out flows the reg. 24 and pretty close to the standard 16. And then of course there the 16ss wich is suppose to flow incredable, if i were running 1/4 i would have gone with it for sure but for 1/8 i decided to give the 13ss a try, and Dave suggested it- hes has a good reputation for knowing his busness so i really didnt question it much- he knew my plans and hp goals and said there were no problem getting there if i could get the fuel to it.
