high HP trucks with auto

can anyone tell me where their truck shifts at when get on it???
it seems that my truck wants to be at the red line the whole time, and i just had this thing built. seems to me that it makes more power if it would shift sooner, around 2800-3000rpm, and mine is shifting at 3100-red line. almost like it is hanging in , like it was no good. just wondering what every one elses truck is doing.

Take it back to the tranny builder and let him adjust the shift points.

I think that it is different for every truck, depending on the mods you may or may not have

Shift points depend on the Accelerator Position and line pressure with a 48re. Using a sledpuller 48re ATS valve body I shift at 2800 in first, and between 2600 and 2800 on the rest at less than 75%throttle. With Smarty on you can add 200rpm to the shifts. At WOT add 200rpm to the shifts. ks

i was talking to him about it, and they are going to raise the line pressure some more, not sure where it is now, but seems to shift hard and firm.
the down fall is that the down shifts are hard as well, which i don't like. coming around a corner the truck down shifts and it kinda clunks then, almost feels sloppy.
the problem i think is that they used a trans go shift kit in the valve body.
i think i might be far better off getting an ATS or DTT or what ever valve body that was made for the diesel, and not a gaser as well.
i know nothing about trannys, but it just seems that this thing don't shift right, and i am losing power because of it.
i think i am draining the rail as well, and my pusher pump can't keep up either.
i get better results if i use part throttle, then full throttle.

can't go wrong with DTT.....

in WOT throttle runs, my truck sits at 3300 in 3rd gear with Edge stuff....wouldn't do it with bullydog stuff or the smarty....

but when it does hit 4.....your head hits the seat...i love it!

i shift my truck around 3100rpms everytime and keeps pulling but that seems to be right at the cut off point for my truck before it feels to fall flat in the power
