whats supposed to happen on the idle down video? weird noise?
exhaust sounds awful.....
first step.....remove Edge completely. See what happens....don't think thats its but its the first step in problem solving.
codes???

it is completely removed. ITS BYPASSED. its just hooked into MAP sensor reading boost and the attitude is reading pyro. My dealer even said i could do this to read those 2 paramters.
on the idle down video lots of cummins guys say that it is abnormal for engine to rev down in jerky steps like it does. ill post another video. once on youtube check out my AWFUL idling videos. When cold outside it runs rough like its on 3 cylinders.

dude if the map is still hooked up why is your boost reading 2#'s the whole time, thats crazy!? Why does it say you have 85% load too? I dont think mine goes past 20%, ill check! Your idle sounds like the idle described for a leaking injector but i dont know cause ive never had one leak.

knocking/rattling like that at idle could be injector related.....

and my truck sounded like a tractor and would only run a few seconds when the rail sensor wasn't in right....it was kinda fun
the edge is bypassed.it was only reading 2 psi because that was before i had map plugged in. Now i have pyro and map plugged into attitude , but i didnt hookup injectors. Now i get boost between 20-40 psi when i stomp on it. also i always get 80-95% load when i stomp on pedal dont you guys.? just while accelerating
Man they are saying unhook it completely, put it back in the box. When its hooked to the map sensor to read boost it can still possibly be causing a problem.I know you won't have gauges but its hard to diagnose if you can't say if it does it completely stock or only with Edge.If you think something not right when returned to stock then take the appropriate steps.Go to the dealer with it,purchase some gauges or whatever else. Its really hard to help diagnose until you try some of these things.Hope your calling your local dealer about that retro ecm sticker.

If you are reading anything above 34psi with the Edge bypassed I would say it's NOT BYPASSED! A stock truck should hit 32-34 max and drop to about 28-30 WOT. Take the Edge off. If you're only getting 20 psi WOT you wont need gauges to tell, you'd be able to feel it.
yeah, I've heard a truck with the rail pressure sensor in backwards- sounds really really bad. But, a connection that isn't 100% right at the rail sometimes idles down funny. It'll take 5 seconds to check and get out of the way- BTW, the truck I saw with that problem was 100% stock-
