thay reflash the ecm thes week for shifting problems,it helped but could not install smart,it comes up unknown software. can somebody simplify it for me?
i do not have a usb cable do i need to order one? i have all the downloads but we have dial up here, we don't get high speed where i live. should i send it back to mads or can someone make it simple for me?

did you remove the smarty before they did reflash?

and yes i uninstalled it before taking it to the dealer

 

do you have the up to date software? or older software? if you have old software you now need to install new updated software. if you have new software then maybe you need to contact mr wagner.

 

What happened is the dealer put in a flash that is much newer than the program you have in your smarty. This is why Marco constantly updated the files on MADS website and also why they reached a point when the Beta files wouldn't work. There is a sticky about that subject.

So what you have to do is download the latest software from MADS website; make sure you download the newest 7 zip files to open it too. It is goona suck on dial up, but that is what you have to do. And yes, you are going to have to have the USB cable to plug the smarty to your computer too.

Your printer USB cable will probably work.
