does anyone know where i can get the proper torque sequence for installing head studs? When you guys are torquing the studs down to 130 are you using the arp lube or not?

 

yes use the lube! Also do it in stages. start at 50lbs, then 90lbs then 130.

 

i am planning on doing it one at a time, the head is staying on. the reason i ask is because the instructions say to use lube and torque to 95 or 125 if you use oil only. So wouldn't 130 with lube be way overtorqued?

 

i did one stud at a time and torqued them to 130 right then and there and moved to the next one.

 

did you use the arp lube when you brought it down to 130?

 

Yes. About a month ago i finally installed f1 cam and springs and turned them to 150!
