Question

What about running the rail dry? He doesn't have his twin CP3s on yet and just put in his flux 2s. I have heard that it makes pops as it runs dry. Can that damage anything?

See my post in the other thread on this. I had the same type of problems going on. It would only make about 450hp instead of 550. I had one bent exhaust valve that was hammering on the seat. Long crank/hard starts, popping, lacking power.

I should have known you needed a rail cap... I would have brought one this weekend for you. I think you're looking at a blown headgasket, though, between two cylinders. Before you dig in though, pull off your rockers and check to make sure you don't have any bent pushrods. If they're all straight adjust the valves and try it. I really don't think you're looking at anything serious, though.

Well Johnner, you were right, the head gasket blew in between cylinders #3 and #4! Good job buddy!
