I installed a mopar pyro in the a pillar. I have the probe in the exhaust. I am trying to wire it all up. How do I get to the back of the light switch ? I cant tell if the switch just pops out or what holds it in the dash. I had planned on wiring the gauge light to the the ash tray light. But my truck doesnt have an ash tray light.
Where do you tap for keyed 12v to run the pyro ?

I taped the Pink/Yellow wire under the parking break for the 12v switched power source and grounded all to the stock grounding points under the dash...also i taped the power for the lights to the dimmer which is a orange/brown wire coming out of the light switch...there are two, i taped the left one...go under the dash and stick your hand up there and pop the switch out..thats it...Jason

 

i atapped into mine behind the AC controls. more wire to work with and easier to get to

 

Just pop the assembly out with your hand. If you pull on it around the edges it just pops out. I wired my lights on my gauges to the dimmer switch so you can brighten or dim with the lights in the dash.
