Help with fitment of MPI twins, Lorenz, etc...

It looks like I'm going to be doing a few more mods to the truck this year, and I'm trying to get parts lined out. Here's some questions I've got...

1. Will Nathan's twins clear the taller shock towers used by Lorenz, Carli, Thuren, etc? Specifically, I'm probably looking at running a 62/S400 or 62/S480 combo. I have the Lorenz 2.25" kit currently installed.

2. Will PacBrake's PRXB in-line exhaust brake kit work well with twins?

Nothing's for sure yet, but it looks like I'll be selling the SPS66, stock '06 turbo, Edge EZ, and Jacob's exhaust brake kit.

I'm putting together an air system now, for use with Carli long travel air bags that I'll be installing next weekend. I figured I'd go with the in-line PacBrake, since I've got the air supply taken care of, and the twin CP3's may interfere with the Jacob's vacuum pump anyway.

Hopefully by the end of the summer, I'll be running:

MPI Nathan's 62/S480 twins
Flux 1.8's
Helix 2/springs
Evil Twin dual CP3's
Smarty Race Tune/TST/MP-8

...and be hoping for 650-700 hp that can still tow, play, and get decent mileage.

Thanks, Eric

Is your pacbrake for 4" pipe? The exhaust outlet on the big turbo is 5", so unless you reduce to 4", it is not gonna fit.

I don't have the PacBrake yet, but I thought they made a 5" inline version?

I run the Kore shock tower and I had some clearance issues. I took some material off the aluminum tower and it was OK, Kind of a crappy and messy job but it should work.

Yes...Thurens towers will clear and S-400 if you clock them 45 degrees facing out. I redrilled the holes in the spring bucket prior to install.

Eric, Pacbrake does make a 5" inline brake, or you could stuff your current Jake brake between the 62 and the s480

why not go w/ a little bigger injector (like flux 2s or 2.5s) and drop the mp-8 or tst?

There are some other reasons I'd rather replace the jake with a PacBrake, but that does bring up another good question.

Is there any interefence with the Jacob's vacuum pump when going with a dual CP3 system?

Both for adjustability benefits, and less smoke. That, and I already have the MP-8 and TST. TST also gives a turbo cool-down timer.

Yes the 5" will work for you. due to the larger Dai pipe and turbo it will not be as 100% effective as the 4" (with stock turbo) in the lower Rpm range but they do work well.
