Hell bent steel pulling right??

Ok, now Ive had 4wheel-idiot-parts look at my truck, and an alignment shop that is unable to get rid of my truck pulling to the right. Both shops say that they have adjusted the caster as far as it can go. Why is this? 4wheel parts was of course saying that its the hellbent steel spacers, others are calling b.s. on that one, but after replacing ball joints and track bars the truck was aligned, however it still pulls to the right and changes lanes when I let go of the wheel!!! I was told that on the newer Dodges the camber is not albe to be adjusted, but is in spec when they checked it.

.....So what the heck do I do, should I get rid of the HBS (hellified BS kit) and invest in a good quality lift kit, or is there something Im missing?

im not sure if i would spend the extra money right now. the larger kit wont hide the problem...it may make it appear worse. get some more opinions if you can. make sure theres nothing defective with the spacers. was the problem like this before the leveling kit. maybe try going back to stock and see if its the same. if so, the installers may have messed something up. if its fine after going back to stock, look at other suspension manufacturers, give the kit back to 4wpws and order a new kit with the money from the leveling kit already put towards it, and install it yourself.

You can swap the front tires to see if the pull switches. Sometimes a broken cord in a tire will cause a pull. You can also try a different alignment shop. I have never been impressed with 4 Wheel Parts.

Yeah, something isn't right, but there is just no way it could be the spacers.

A broken cord in the tire could be the problem since you have seemingly tried everything else. Why don't you take the wheel off the side that is pulling and swap it with one of the rears... that will give you a really quick answer on that diagnosis.

I agree on the broken cord in a tire also. i had this on my 01, I thought I had bent stuff everywhere, and I took it to have it aligned, and the guy took the tires off the front, and put them on the rear, and low and behold, no more pull.

If youhave a jack and a little time, this could be a free trouble shoot for you, then if this is the problem, have your spare tire swapped with the trouble tire. Use the trouble tire for spare only...

The 05 Ram I used to have pulled to the right after the steering gear box went out and was replaced under warranty. The Dodge dealer said the alignment was within spec and that the truck pulled to the right because of the crown in the road. I knew better than that because it did not pull to the right before the steering box was replaced. I rotated the front and rear tires which seemed to help a little but the truck still had a slight pull to the right. I then took the truck to an independent shop and they told me the alignment was within spec but the camber just barely within spec. They said even though it was within spec it was off enough that it could be causing the problem. If I remember correctly they said the camber joints could be replaced with after market offset joints that would correct the problem. However, I traded the truck for an 06 (so I could get a Jake Exhaust Brake) and therefore did not have the offset joints installed. I have a lot of confidence in the independent shop and feel that the offset joints would have corrected the problem. Best of luck.

well the problem started before this set of tires, but im thinking it didnt happen before I put the hbs kit on. So I know its not the tires. I might try some offset joints or a steering gear box or something. Do you guy's think any of this will work?

I don't think it would be the steering box. But then again, I'm not a front end specialist.

it might not be a broken cord when it pulls one way and you switch the tires and it changes it is that one of the tires has the steel belts not in straight causing one sidewall to be stiffer than the other

I also don't think it's the spacers causing this. I've installed a set and a couple of my buddies have a set and they aren't having any problems what so ever.
