Headlight bulb question.

Converted my truck to HID's but can't keep bulbs from blowing. Did some research and it appears to be a fairly common problem on the aftermarket kits. I changed from H10 bulbs to the HID's and have decided to go back to the H10's because I have never blown one, even tho they are not as bright.

Doers anybody know of a brighter bulb that I can use in lieu of the H10 bulb? This is only for my low beams.

Edit.
Been checking on the internet and every sub for a H10 I can find has a different base to mine. Mine has the same base as a foglite or the HID bulbs. It has the manufacturers name stamped on it plus H10

Do you have the factory headlights? From the factory it's a 9007 (HB5) duel element bulb. H10 is typically a fog lamp bulb.

Factory headlights long gone which is why the bulb is different. These lights are set up for HID's which is why the base for the bulb is different to the factory 9007. From the internet it looks like my only option is an H10 zenon, but so far can't locate a pair locally.

I have to say, H10 is usually a 35w bulb. Typical low beams are 55w.

The bulbs I have are 55w. I have found halogen bulbs the same, but nothing brighter. Am now leaning towards dumping the HID's and re-installing these and using the lights I mounted in my bumper as driving lights for the darker roads. Can't use high beams as they blind the oncoming traffic.
