HD brush guards

This year I'm hunting at a new place and requires passing through 5 bump gates. Without getting out of the truck and opening the gates I would like to install a heavy duty chrome brush guard. Looking at the Go Industries Big Tex and the Westin Fatboy Classic series. Anyone using either of these?
Thanks

I'm running a Go Industries Rancher but it is powder coated black. It's definitely strong enough for the job though. Pics in my gallery. You could get it and have it chromed or ask Go if they would chrome it instead of powder coat it.

I have the manik Crome platunium stainless grill guard on my 2004.Very stout grill guard IMHO.This will be the second Michigan winter it has been on my truck,it has held up very well to all the road salt and grime of michigan roads.coobie.

Be careful to remember that once you snug-up to the gate and throttle it, the pushing force is on the headlight guard and with both of those bumpers it looks questionable. I would suggest a brushguard that is fully welded. From previous experience with a brushguard with the headlight guards bolted to the push-bars(for lack of of a better term), they will bend. That was not with a bump gate in particular, I just don't think they could handle that kind of abuse. A one piece, welded brushguard will work far better, but as far as I know, most are painted.

I've got a Westin Bull Bar and Nerfs and they both have rusted badly in a 2 year period. I'm not impressed. They are the painted version.

My Go Rancher is a one piece welded design and is black powder coated. I'm over 3 bills and I can jump up and down on the front step of it and not budge it at all. I think it might hold up to a bump gate. It's pretty solid. I bought it as the next best thing to a full replacement.

That's why I'm looking a one piece grill guards. My previous experience with a light weight grill guard and bump gates wasn't good.

Exclamation Grill Guards

Mikey

I have the Big Tex, I installed one on my brothers Hemi and that day he had a Cattle Trailer back into his Hemi and didn't hurt anything including the grill guard. If not it would've crushed the grill

I just looked at one of those on a buddy's truck. It certainly looked stout. He bought it because if was the only all welded chromed brush guard he could find.

He's very happy with it.
