Guage Recommendation

I've decided to purchase an AFE Pro Guard 7 Stage 2 and the Bully Dog Power Pup. My question is do I buy the outlook monitor, or just get some analog guages. I don't have any shops locally here in Vermont so I'll be doing this myself. Pros and Cons?

Thanks for any feedback

Todd

Get a set of real gauges, not only do they work, they look **** good in your truck.

I have the ISSPRO's (Pyro, Boost and Trans Temp and a Di Pricol Fuel Pressure gauge), people think they are all factory gauges.

Now if you really like Digital read outs then go with a digital type read out gauge, but for my money I think the good old round faced guage looks the best.

How well does the Dipricol FP guage match the Isspro gauges? Day, night ? I just bought an Isspro pyro and was wanting a full isspro setup, but since they don't have a fp gauge...

I have a day picture of Dipricols in my gallery. I think the night pictures of any gauges are about the same.

I sell the pup and outlook but most seem more happy with analog guages one thing nice about them if you decide to not use the pup anymore and go with something else analog guages will work with anything obviously. send me a pm I can discuss some of the issues I have had,
Kyle

I got the BDDL and the Outlook from Kyle , I really like the Outlook and mounted it right below the fuel gauge , doesnt block any view to anything. one thing about the Outlook is you can run two EGT , one post and one pre turbo , also you can derate the engine if your pyro reaches the setting you have set on the outlook, I keep mine at 1250 , it was a easy install and has a lot of info for the price.

Digital and analog gauges both have their advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I prefer analog gauges because as others have said, they look factory. I've pointed mine out to people and they've asked, "Oh, you put those in? They look like the truck came with them." Or something to that effect. I also prefer analog because they are quicker reading. If you know where the needle of each gauge normally points, or is supposed to point, for a given condition you can tell if the measurement is off often without having to read the numbers, just looking at needle position.

How did the DiPricol gauge match the Isspro Trans temp gauge? Especially at night? I'm not having very good luch with my DiPricol Tranny gauge and I'm thinking about going to the Isspro.

What do you think?

The design is very close, the only thing is the center button the ISSPRO is flat while the Di Pricol has the line in the center button like the factory gauges.

Now the ISSPRO's do light up a little more brightly then the Di Pricol, so in a side by side location it would not match.

I located the Di Pricol Fuel gauge in the SRT-10 A-Pillar so it is not near the ISSPRO gauges and that works fine.

One other thing I noticed is the ISSPRO needle lights up more then the needle does in the Di Pricol.

I am very happy with the looks of both brands of gauges, one thing if you mount a fuel pressure gauge, don't mount the isolator on the firewall, you will her the CP3 pump if you do.

I am going to move mine to another location under the the hood. I tried to put a piece of rubber under the L brackets and it helped some but you can still hear the pump. I am going to try and fine a square piece of rubber and try that before I completely move it.

For Night time illumination, which gauges match the factory gauges best: the Isspro's or the Di Pricol's?
