Grill guards for an 06'?

Ive got a buddy who recently purchased a used 06' CTD and wants to put a grill guard, not a replacement type bumper. I have no idea, other than ranchhand, of where he should look?

If you can post a pic of what ya got, or a link of whats good, lets see em' cause I know there's a bunch to choose from now!

one opinion out of a crap load of trucks using it doesn't mean much. Not sticking up for N-Fab and I'm not saying you can use it to move cows but, if installed correctly... as a brush guard I think it would be fine.

I have an IRON HORSE brush guard on my 06. I was looking at a Ranch Hand at the same dealer but the guy said they were having some problems with welds breaking. He said he would be more than happy to take my money for the Ranch Hand but said I'd be just as happy with the Iron Horse. I've been real happy with it. No rust showing through and no broken welds. I've had it for about a year and a half.

I have a Gage grill gaurd. They are distributed throughout the state. Tiejen's are also decent quality. I hit a deer with mine not to long ago and it held up awesome.

No broken welds here. The welding shop I work at is a dealer for Ranch Hand and I've had one on for about a year. I've seen the abuse they can take and they hold up very well. Our shop foreman's wife had a low speed head on with another car in their Dodge 2500 and it took the beating and saved the truck from a lot of damage. Can't say that the car didn't fair as well though. I love my Ranch Hand and would recommend it to anyone else out there.

I have had a Ranch Hand Grille Guard on my truck since about day 3 after getting my truck, actually picked it up on the way home from the dealership.

I took out a 6 point buck with it, traveling about 45-50mph. One small almost nothing dent in the vertical rail, one dead deer, nothing else damaged. I bet I could take out an elk with the replacement bumper it's so stout, but the grille guard has done an excellent job. No broken welds anywhere, been on the truck for 2-1/2 years.

I have their rear bumper replacement, it is solid as a rock, in fact I could claim it is more solid as a rock. I backed into a really big rock and the rock was damaged not the bumper.
