Got the SMARTY, now some questions...
Gents,
I received my SMARTY Sr. w/PoD yesterday. I am currently running SW# 5: Torque Management 3, Timing: Default, and Rail Pressure: Default. The truck is noticeably faster. The throttle response is markedly improved. I do, however, have a few questions about my truck's performance. It does not smoke at all. I am not necessarily wanting to make it smoke, but I am worried that maybe it is not fueling as hard as it should. Stock turbo and stock wastegate setting...no smoke. Rail pressure has not changed. Should I be getting more fuel?

I noticed mine was not as smokey compared to my edge J w/att, even on SW 9. In my opinion the Smarty spools the turbo faster thus making less smoke, I'm no expert but that is what I think and see on my boost guage. I think everything is probably ok with your setup. May want to upgrade your LP here soon, I know I am now. On a side note how you liking them Frontier bumpers, I love mine and they look great.

Stock 04 he341 is pretty small, so it should have lightning fast spoolup. If so, smoke will be minimal, means your burning your fuel.
If you have gauges keep an eye on your egts, its probably gonna get toasty.
If you dont have gauges, you better get some lol.

Good stuff. I guess I should start looking for a better fuel pump. The more I drive this truck, the more amazing the SMARTY becomes. My truck will flat-out haul edit. I have not dared try the higher settings or Torque Management 4. Anybody running the upper settings (>5) with a stock clutch?
jmmcdona, I absolutely love my Frontiers. Excellent construction and awesome aesthetic appeal. Best looking bumpers I have ever come across. I have actually used my rear bumper (backed into a Nissan parked all up in my business) and I can say that while the Nissan needed a new hood, bumper, and front end panels, my Frontier wasn't even scratched.

you will slip above sw5, no doubt, w/o a clutch. If you want to have a fast reliable truck on those levels, you will need to do extensive mods.
Fuel pump
Turbo
Clutch
Exhaust (important for 03-04 trucks)
Intake is helpful, but not necessary
Then you may find yourself wanting more, then its
injectors
cp3 upgrade
twins or big single
studs and springs
cam
exhaust manifold
blah blah i could go all day you see. If you look at my sig you can see my recipe for power. Got 130k great miles on the truck, and wouldn't have it any other way.
