Got my Smarty Sr. yesterday

I was worse than a kid waiting. DTR got me the smarty quickly. Very quickly. Had to stop working and go hook it up. Pretty easy considering I am no computer genius. Started with a small tune. Number 4 I believe it was. Had a nice feel. Not much diff than my xzt I thought but the roads were wet so hard to really tell. Bumped it up to number 5. Then I changed the torque management a hair. Yup you guessed it. I slipped my clutch. I would not have believed it. 5th gear slipped when it was hooked up to the wet road. Guess I will be stopping right there as I am not looking to do a clutch for a long time. That means I still have approx. 80 hp left in the box for whenever I get the mods for it. I set my tire height to my 35's. Could not have been easier. No idea why the dealer cannot set to 35's but oh well. Smoke was more than my xzt but not out of control by any means. If this programmer gets average mileage I will be grinning ear to ear. If it gets above average mileage all blood may leave my upper body. I will let you guys know how I make out in the following days.

Yep I have to back it off a hair. Was out tonight on dry roads and played just a bit in 5th gear and the clutch pedal stayed on the floor. It did come back. Put a bad feeling in my wallet. Clutch is not in the budget right now.

Congrats on the smarty.

Your fuel mileage will suffer in direct relationship to the suffering of your clutch.

What program did the smarty come with? Revo? RevoTNT? Because if it came with just the Revo then you have a lot more than 80hp left in it

There is way more left in the smarty than my truck can handle. Fuel mileage and clutch life is set by my right foot now for sure. Would love to do a clutch so I could turn the smarty up but just can's justify it right now.

Reason dealer cant set it for 35's is because Dodge doesnt want people running that big of a tire. If I remember right the largest they will/can go is a 285-70.

Congrats on the Smary, I'm hoping to get one some day and get rid of this Edge.

When i put in my Smarty POD, the mileage on the overhead jumped well above what used to be on my XZT. However last night, I do believe I slipped the clutch in 5th and 6th. Things were well with no ill effects on the clutch for months.
