Good bolt on muffler for a 600?

Hey guys, took delivery of my truck today!
Had a small question, is there a muffler I can buy that will "bolt right on" Meaning I don't have to cut/weld anything?
The aeroturbine is out of the question because, they're propaganda is cooling down the exhaust which is wrong... You want exhaust gas to stay as hot as possible throughout the whole system, that way it flows easier, and get out out faster. By cooling it down, you're only decreasing performance.

So anybody know of a muffler that will bolt on? Not to loud, preferably a little louder than stock, but not much. 600's have a 4" exhaust also.

thanks guys!

Aero turbine clams to lower egts by geting the exhaust out faster. I think your are missing the point. Take another look at it. I havent tried mine yet but I have high hopes.

I got my Magnaflow muffler in and kitty out for about 180 by a local muffler shop with a nice chrome tip. It sounds awesome, no drone in the cab and when you hit it she makes some nice tunes out the soot pipe, especially with the TST!

Im going to loose the kitty & muff . Aero will go on the down pipe to filler pipe to y pipe to duals . all four inch stainless. Aero needs to be closest to the heat. Im waitng for new turbo from enterprise It will come with a new down pipe. To answer your question, no but a muffler shop should be able to help you out.

Aeroturbine

Yes there is cutting and welding. You will have to cut your existing pipe and position the Aeroturbine as far forward as possible for maximum affect. You will have the delima of repositioning your cat or removing it. If your just thinking of using an Aeroturbine as simply a muffler replacement I wouldn't do it. It has a specific purpose/function that goes away when you put/place it that far back. If that is your goal to replace the stock muffler look at Donaldson, Nelson, Banks and such, and many other good ones are out there also. That was to mention just a few. Any muffler shop can handle the install but you'll have to remove the cat as they won't,...normally.

Banks vs. MagnaFlow

zboost -

I just put on a Banks catback on my 600. Sounds nice, with maybe just a slight drone @2200 rpm's, but it doesn't bother me. However, the price does bug me! Our trucks are 4" from the turbo back so we don't need the other piping that comes with the Banks system, but I couldn't get them to sell me just the dang muffler! I too looked at the Aeroturbine but was not quite convinced. If I had it to do all over again, I would have gone to a good MagnaFlow dealer and got them to weld in one of their nice T-304 straight-thru mufflers. Had one on my '01 GMC 8.1L gasser and it was sweet! Would have saved me probably at least $150.00, too. Oh well, I'm just a dumb newbie, but I'm learning.

If you do decide to go with Banks catback, it's part# 48700 (Cummins 600 Quad Short). Some of their dealers don't even know it's out yet! Bst price I found was at: www.4x4groupbuy.com. Tell Jason there what you want and it should be a good deal cheaper than anyone else
