Goerend or DTT?

Hey guys Ive been lurking around for a few months trying to find out about my first diesel (06 Mega 4x4). Any way ive aded the HOT Juice with Attitude so far and plan on stacking an EZ and maybe some injectors. I already have the MBRP duals and a drop in filter. I plan on ordering a TC and VB tommorrow AM and dont know which to go with ince Ive heard great things about both. The Goerend is about $400 more and with Christmas money is kinda tight. Tell me what the experts think.

That's where I'm heading next summer. I talked to him on the phone. I drive within 5 miles of St Lucas several times each year. HE even offered to let me use his truck to work out of while they do their magic.

Nothing but pure honesty. Some of the others, well, not going there.

Both companies sell top notch products, but Dave helped me out with the problem I was having with my transmission, and I didn't even buy anything. He answered all of my questions and gave me pointers on where to look. Where as Stephen wanted to sell me something.
If I had to buy something for my truck, I would call Dave no questions asked.

My DTT rebuild has been great. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Cant speak to Daves stuff as I havent used him but it sure sounds like he has good stuff too from all the positve remarks I have read about his product over the years.

Yep!! Another vote for Dave here. And it is true about the sales pitch, he won't try to sell you anything you don't need. Just tell him your intentions for your truck and mods and he will set you up with the stuff you need, nothing more unless you ask for it. He seems to have a pertty good idea on what horsepower levels or towing weight breaks witch parts and will inform you of that so you don't get a full billet trans when you only need a billet input for your application. Maybe, just maybe, some other guys (no one in perticular) have a better ability to sell full billet shafts and sell a $5k tranny when you only need a $3k tranny. That is where everyones that posts positive about him really admires his honesty. Truely a great guy to deal with.

I have been very happy with my DTT. I like the way it drives, and I like the durability.

Here too. My story is pretty long, so I won't bother you with all the details, but here's what I will tell you.

After installing my TC/VB, I had a problem that I didn't have before and so thought it was related to the one or the other. After talking to Dave he was pretty sure it wasn't his parts. I wasn't convinced and drove up to his shop. He pretty much proved it wasn't his parts in the first hour or so. THEN HE SPENT THE NEXT FIVE HOURS HELPING ME DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME A PENNY.

Enough said.

Well I did it, I went and ordered the Goerend today! After talkng with Dave and him telling me about the funny shifting on the 06's he said that if he gets it working better that he will send a new vb for FREE!! that and DTT would not have one to me until after the new year. Thanks for all of the input it helped alot.
