hi im new to diesels and this forum. I have learned what i know from this site which i thank you guys for, but im wondering what would be best or possible, and what i need for gauges? do i get gauges or a moniter or what

I like the look of gauges better, it really just depends on your preference. Get egt, boost, fuel pressure and tranny for an auto.

thanks and i guess i should have added i have an auto. whats wrong with my factory trans temp though

 

It seems like its too late when the factory light comes on. Unless your pulling alot you can probably get away without a tranny temp gauge.

 

FWIW, these are the ones I put in my 05.
Still thinking about a rail pressure.

I prefer the analog gauges for their looks and accuracy...

 

yeah welcome bubba!...boost is cool to have(fun to watch)egt is a must especially for a smarty owner that tows but really anybody that tows heavy and trans temp is up there...the oem trans temp is a big fat liar! Remember DTR leads to paranoia
