Gauge Mount - To paint or not to paint, that is the question.....
I have a 2007, 2500 with the gray interior. Dash and door liners are dark gray, other plastics are light gray.
I ordered my gauge kit (ISSPRO) from Diesel Manor with the A-Pillar Mount and I am planning on doing the install next weekend. Problem is the color of the mount really does not match the original very well. It is advertised as Taupe/Light Gray and I paid $20.00 extra because it was supposed to match the interior exactly, but it doesn’t (more beige than gray). I’d like to paint it or at least paint the inner side to see if I can get a better match, but I am not sure what color to use. The websites I checked, all list the colors such that I think I might just be ordering the same color I have (more beige than gray).
I’ve seen a few photo’s here for some who have painted them, but it is difficult to tell from a photo if the color is right.
I would appreciate any insight from those who have painted their mounts. Are you glad you painted? Was it a good match? What color should I order?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I did mine with duplicolor interior paint from autozone. I believe it was for vinyl but it worked fine on the plastic. Also, buy the wax/adhesive remover as well. Mine turned out very nice with a few light coats.

I went to O'Reilley's auto parts, took my color code off my truck and they mixed it and stuck it in a spray can for me, worked great, about $15.00 if I remember right, also bought a can of Bulldog surface spray for the plastic part, makes the paint stick better yet.

I found the name for my interior color; it can be found on labels on the back of some of the trim pieces; then bought a can from the dealer. Matches perfectly and looks like part of the truck.
