Garrett stage 2?

How would a Garett stage 2 work on my truck with what is in my sig? I am looking for fast spool up and egt control when towing my 15k fifth wheel. Thanks in advance.

What smarty setting do you run?

But a Stage 2 would probably work quite well. But 15K is a heavy trailer, and you probably dont want to run the TQ on mod to light the turbo with a load.. You will get faster spool with the Stage 1, but would probably be limited to SW3 or SW5 at most.. But thats still a lot of power to tow with.

I have the beta 4.4 which I thought was the same on all levels. I thought they were all around 170 hp. I am usually on sw 5 though. The stock turbo does a pretty good job while towing, but I can get to 1450, actually I could get alot higher if I wanted to but I can maintain speed up any hill in my area and not get to 1350 or so, but if I try to gain speed the egt guage will just bury. I don't like that at all.

The TQ is the same on all levels with 4.4, but the HP will be different.

Power levels should be
SW # 0 : Half power

SW # 1 : 30 Hp increase, with added timing .

SW # 2 : 60 Hp increase, no added timing.

SW # 3 : 60 Hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 4 : 90 Hp increase, no added timing.

SW # 5 : 90 Hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 6 : 130 Hp increase, no added timing.

SW # 7 : 130 Hp increase, with added timing.

SW # 8 : 170 Hp increase, no added timing.

SW # 9 : 170 Hp increase, with added timing.

1350 is pretty **** hot for the timing added with the Smarty, I would try to keep that at your max.

You may spool fine on a Stage 2, I have heard a Stage 1 spools quicker than stock.

Hopefully some more people will post up.

Stage 1 does spool quicker than stock, but is appropriate only for about 50hp over stock engines. Stage two is a better choice, still spools a little faster than stock with a little more air... where he is seeing 1450 now, it may bring it down to 1300-1350. He would also benefit from a small water injection system set to spray say around 1200*.
