Anyone tried this ball bearing turbo? They say it will spool up faster than other turbos the same size but this thing is pricey so lookin for input before I buy.
I believe Mr. Piers Harry is working on such an animal right now!! He feels they will be pretty awesome, but would be too cost prohibitive for most people to afford.

I would like to question the reliability of such a turbo on one of our trucks? And if it has a separate water source? I would possibly be interested in this if a single would bring me to the magical 500hp. I just haven't seen these much.
I assume there is a tee of some sort to plumb it to the factory cooling system???????????????
theres an article in tdr on this.
they used a gt3788r (stage3)to replace a sps 62/14. they made alot more power, lower egt and it spooled quicker, acording to piers, 550hp @1200 degrees would be no problem with this turbo.

the ball bearings reduce friction to the point that you can hear it wistle at idle.
me personaly, ill be going with ether this or a 40 series come spring time. add a set of sticks and the 230 hp software, i shuld be able to hit 600.... i hope.
They use the engine cooling system. Plumb it in with an H pipe on the heater hoses. I did my 280z this way back in 1994. That turbo is a Garret T3 that I had a liquid cooled center section put in. Works great. All new gasser turbo's have liquid cooled center sections.

I need to get a turbo after the first of the year.
