Fuel Systems

OK, I know after the last time at the dyno that I'm running out of fuel. I am wondering how well my lift pump will last at the power I'm asking.
Guys, try to sell me on the F.A.S.S. or the Glacier, or is there something else out there? This will be a project when money allows, but I thought I would have my decision as to whom I'm going with set in stone.

well i can tell you that if you keep running your injection pump dry your going to end up replacing it soon if you don't change out your lift pump. i have the walbro 392 pump and i never hear it running in the truck. you have to get next to it under the truck to hear it run. it has an adjustable pressure system with the comp kit i bought. i paid $378 shipped for the vulcan big line comp kit and the walbro 392 pump. i have it set at 28 PSI at idle and wot its at 19-20 PSI so the pump keep the fuel flowing!

I read up about it quite a bit and just recently ordered and recieved my Glacier walbro 391 kit (along with the tank vent kit) didnt get the big line kit or anything else but that will come at a later time. Didnt have time to install it yet (busy and cold) but hope to do it soon.

have you ever looked at the banjo bolts that are used for the fuel system they are very restricting you would be supprised how small the holes for the fuel are.

Your talking for the Big line kit? I didnt order it at the time just cause the truck is stock I just want to get a reliable pump in there since I still have the filter mounted lift pump and didnt want to wait any longer on it.

I did also order the in-line strainer as well anyone know how frequently that should be changed out?

nah i'm talking about on the stock lines the banjo bolts are very restricting and the big line kit eliminates the banjo bolts
with the filter about the same time you change you regular fuel filter

Hey pal don't be dissing the fass. It is a proven system that has worked providing clean, 3 micron filtered, solid pressure, air seperation and all that jazz. Glacier , mitsui or what ever and all the rest in my books are leaps and bounds above stock. The whole point is our motors need aftermarket fuel supply pumps and finer micron filtration. Hey you gotta agree on that right! Brand bashing fuel pumps is like my powerstroke can take your duramax

well theres a million reasons why they do. one of the main reasons why I went with gdp is richard answered the phone when I called him. he didnt respond when I told him I was happy with the kit, but im sure he is busy. my friend had many issues with his fass and how they treated him they lost my business and his from now on. I dont care if its free, it aint goin on my truck.
