Freeze plug block off plate??
as some of you know, i blew out my stock freeze plug at the track last weekend. i just ordered the block off plate, but im a little nervous about blowing a different one out when i go back to the track. does any one have any experience with these? does this just cause a different one to go? should i have gotten the whole re routing kit instead. let me know cause i still might have time to change my order if i have to,
ever since I blew mine, I've been careful to let the thermostat fully open before any thrashing. Hasn't happened again. Here's a link to my write up-
It looks like the link to the pics is gone, but I can post new pics if you need them.

no, no problems since the block off install.....
There is an other option , from what I have found , the Cummins in Rams is the only application where they leave out a by pass fitting on the back of the head , there is spouse to be better cooling with this .
I went looking for the link , but can not seem to find it , it may have been at TST products .

Quick and easy thing to do beside making sure the engine is up to full operating temperature and has cycled the thermostat (hard to do while sitting around waiting for your turn at the starting line). When you stage, put your heater on MAX heat. The flow through the heater core by passes around the thermostat to help prevent over pressure blow outs of the freeze plugs during high rpm runs.
