its a plug with a plate (or machined from one 1 piece) with an o-ring that bolts onto the back of the block so it cant pop off.

heres one style, from the price i think i actually got this one
heres another
the guy on the phone said it would work for my truck.

Enterpriseengins.com also makes a kit but cost a little more, but the furnish the pressure valve

I made my own out of 3/16x5'' flat plate. I drilled all the holes to match the ones on the back of the block and head and used a couple of 1 1/4 washers, worked great
