Freeze plug, back of block

Anyone had to replace the freeze plug on the back of the block above the belhousing? Its the same size as the ones on the side of the block. I have the tranny out and the motor tilted back as far as it will go with the valve cover against the fire wall and I still can't get the socekt in straight to drive it in straight.

any ideas?

Put the hammer down... See if you can brace/wedge something up there and lever it in, fulcrum point is what I believe it is called.
