Check out "Gary C" in his photo gallery he has some nice looking flares. I just PM'd him. They are Xenon flares that were painted to match.

I put the Bushwackers on my long bed. Fit perfect up front, but required some trimming on the rear. Where the flare follows the indentation in the side of the truck is where the rear flares were off a little. It would have been nice if they fit perfectly, but I wouldn't say it was a problem. Only took about 2 minutes on each rear flare to trim them up. They easily trim with a pair of scissors....then off to the painter.

I really liked the way the Xenons attach to the truck....they have a better design if you ask me, but I didn't like the way they flared out at the bottom. Looked a little too aggressive for my tastes. I think the Bushwackers follow the lines of the truck a little better. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Pics in my Member's Photo Gallery, page 2.

Those look nice too. Which flare model was it? What do they run and how much for the paint? The only thing I wasn't sure about was the black gasket on a white truck. I think the Xenons are gasketless.

The dealer painted them, there is a place cheaper than the place I went to, Stillen in California for the flairs, aaaa do a search here and someone posted a price at $279 for the same ones I paid 300 for.

I too like the looks.

Yep, Xenons are gasketless. Mine are the extend-a-fenders. I had the same concerns about the black strip and even started a thread some time ago and asked the same question. Check this thread out...some good info: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=37494 Check out this photo gallery, white truck with Bushwacker flares: http://community.webshots.com/album/66912594vmKsLy This guy has a good picture of the rear flare that shows what I was talking about earlier with the rear flares not following the indentation in the side of the truck (middle row, second from bottom). I don't know if he didn't trim his or what, but you can trim that peice a little with a pair of scissors and they fit perfect, nice and snug. It is just that peice that sticks out that needs to be trimmed a little bit prior to painting.

In the end, the Bushwackers look great. I think the black strip does actually add to the look of the flare, believe it or not, and they will cover up any little imperfections from your trimming job if required.

I checked out a set of Xenons that a friend had prior to putting them on. I think the quality of the flares are about the same between the two. The only major differences in the flares were the way they attached to the truck. I like the way the Xenons attach and I probably would have gotten those instead if they didn't flare out so much at the bottom. Extremely happy with my Bushwackers though and if I had to do it again with the same flares on the market to choose from, I'd go Bushwacker. If Xenon would tone down that flare at the bottom, I'd go Xenon. I don't think you could go wrong with either one, but if you really like the way the Xenons flare out at the bottom, then I would get those.

I got mine from https://www.accessorysourcedirect.co...erflares.shtml and paid $200 even for paint...scuff, primed, base coat, clear coat...all with a flex additive because they will all bend and flex a little.

Ahhhh. Decisions..decisions.

YES...BIG mud flaps!!! I originally put on a small set of flaps and I started getting rock chips on the side of my truck from the front 315s grabbing every rock within a 10 mile radius and throwing them under my flares. The back was actually not to bad since those rocks were getting thrown on the Ford behind me instead of my truck. I think the front tires are more troublesome. I went down to Napa and got two sets of the biggest non-contoured 4X4 flaps that they had. Bolted them on using the existing screws that held on the flares at the bottom, then added a couple more screws where I though they were needed. Works great. The ticket is to get a set of flaps that are as wide as the 315s and go as low to the ground as possible. I hate the way these tires throw rocks.

I did a search on www.google.com and they are there to view, I just put in EGR Flairs in the search engine.

Lots of info, sounds like a killer deal.
