Something is definitely wrong, I keep mine on PL2 and I can feel a difference and on PL3 there is a extremely noticeable difference.

Yesterday on PL3 I had to speed up to beat a yellow light getting on the freeway, I chirped the tires at about 30-35mph.

And you are 100% positive that you matched the blue plugs all together and the orange plugs all together. You plugged the Quad plugs in first and then the factory plugs into the Quad plugs ALL correctly?

Yes there are only 4 plugs in the engine to match up coolant, fuel ,map and pyro... no brainer. The manual didn't say to plug the quad in first then factory to quad. I had the batteries disconnected until I was finished so it shouldn't matter.

Well, I just talked to quad tech again and they told me not to use the taps that the commander uses to tap into the xzt harness. I'll take them off and see I guess

I tried everything that quad tech suggested and just got off the phone with them. After about an hour on the horn and trying everything they said either the pcm got locked or I got another bad box (just my luck). SOOO I took it back to the store and got my money back. Guess I'll try something else. Superchips here I come.

I get that you've run your course with quadzilla...sometimes it just doesnt work out...that being said, with all the positive smarty / smarty jr. reviews or bd products...why would you go to superchips (doesnt get many votes on here)? Just curious as id think you'd want to minimize your odds of future problems with another power adder...not bad mouthing superchips as i've never tried one...

My main thing about superchips is that there is a diesel shop near here that has dealt with superchips for years and they would do the install and troubleshoot for me so I wouldn't have to spend hours on the phone with tech support. I also know that they would stand behind me no matter what. Nobody anywhere near hear has any knowledge of quadzilla or smarty products so I am on my own in those products. The shop I mention also said that for me to come down and they would install the superchip and let me drive around to be sure it's what I wanted, if not then uninstall, no questions asked. I live in an area where nobody mods diesel trucks so I need all the knowledgable help I can get. Also I've never considered bullydog, thoughts.

Superchips is a programmer, no? There is no install. Plug into the port, do your stuff, and unplug it.

Unless I'm mistaken? It's not different than the Smarty to use and the smarty is super simple...

I have owned a superchip and I highly advise against getting one. If you want a programmer get a smarty but if you want a plug and play module then I would sit down and have a beer or 3 and then talk to quad. He will make it right. I would bypass the shop you purchased from orginally and just go straight through quad for your purchase. Things happen to anyone selling a product or service but it still doesn't change the fact that you will have great customer service from either one of the above.

Great customer service is fine but I would rather have a product that worked for me. My local dealer has been really good for me on this deal, gave me my money back without a fuss. Quad did all they could for me, I'll give them credit for that, But they don't know how to fix my problem. Two strikes for me.

I understand, I've been there and done that. Quad really does have good products. I had problems with mine but it was taken care of fast. That is the only reason I said bypass the shop. It has nothing to do with the shop you deal with but with electronics you get rid of the middle man and when things like this arise they are fixed quicker and easier. If you go straight to quad he will test it out and make sure it works before you get it. As far as superchips goes, I hope you think it through. They have the worst customer service and don't live up to the promises they make and ecm's are very expensive to replace. I'll just leave it at that. If you want more details shoot me a pm and I'll explain.

Don't let anyone talk you out of a Superchips programmer for their favorite brand if that is what you want. It is a fine programmer for the money and does what it claims on the 05 trucks, which is all you want by the sound of things. Good luck.

Well I guess you are one that is just fine being lied too. I for one as well as others don't. I bought the superchips with the understanding that I would have tow, perf. and extreme tunes. Come to find out all you got was tow and perf. settings The perf. setting did run good on a stock truck I will say that but that was until they came out with an update which dropped the power back quite a bit. I talked with superchips for about a year listening to broken promises and excuses and finally sold it. Do yourself a favor and due some searching on here and other sites INCLUDING the superchips forum and you will see what I am saying is true
