FASS and FP Question

ok, here it goes......i had a fass pump 95gph(pump only) sitting around the garage that was previously used on my 01. well last night i finally got my lazy **** in gear and put it on my 05. before the pump i would see 7psi at idle and it would drop down to 3psi under WOT. now i see 7psi at idle but it doesen't move at all under WOT. does this seem right? obviously the pump is keeping up because the fp doesn't drop whatsoever, but i thought that i would see around 19psi at idle since that's what i was seeing w/ my 01. is there a regulator somewhere that only allows that much pressure to be let to the cp3? sorry for the long post and thanks

jason

I don't know if it's the same on a 95,,,but there might be a spring in there somewhere you can change to regulate pressure.

If your running an isolator with your fp gauge, make sure its full w/antifreeze.
Last week, mine dropped from 19 at idle to 9. yet wouldn't drop under wot. Thought it might be filter, but checked isolator first and it was low. didnt see any leaks, but it was back to normal after i topped it off.

i'll check into that, i just figured that since it was putting out around 20psi on my 01 then it should be putting out 20psi on my 05

actually you can try silicone spray- i used that instead of antifreeze, diesel dan said its good cause it keeps things lubed up. duh! but i would check the line thats hooked to your fp gauge. start with the gauge and work backwards, usually thats the prob
