How does a guy tell if the FASS he's going to buy is the new improved quiet version. Is their a serial number break when FASS changed that block to quiet the 150gal down?? Just don't want to purchase a old one that's been on the shelf for a while. Thanks...

 

you're safe. the fass post about this subject is close to a year old - if not a year old! i bought the update kit to quiet my fass and that was at least 10 months ago. you could always call a retailer too. they could tell you.

 

Was the update kit a silver block instead of the red block?? How is your pump now compared to before?? Thanks...

 

mines the red style- the fass is quieter after installing the kit. the kit had a different "plate" that needed to replace the one that came with my fass.

 

No worries bud, bought the 95/150-1007 today. Had excellent luck with the FASS before on my 01' and I figured why change a good thing. I'll try the Airdog 150 on my other ride I'm going to build...
