fabtech 5" or superlift 6"

I'm going to buy a lift for the truck, but i'm stuck on which to go with. I had a Fabtech on my Superduty I had and it seemed to settle to much only after 3 months or so. I've heard Superlift is a little stiffer than most, which i'm fine with. I will not be going off road at all (have toys for that), so I do not want to spend the extra money on high end kits. I'm putting 37" bfg all terrains, for a better and quieter street ride. Your thoughts and experiance will help. Thanks

You can run the Superlift 4.5" kit and fit 37's, as long as you get your rim width, backspacing and offset correct. I am running 35's on the Superlift 4.5" right now, but will move up to 37's when these wear out. I have a few pictures in my gallery, if you want to check them out.

You should not have a problem with the 4.5 Superlift, running the BFG A/T. There 37's actually measure 36.6" You will want to run a rim, no wider than 9" (8.5" would be better) and look for a backspacing of about 6 being ideal, but my KMC's where 5.71 and seem to work great.

Also are longer brake lines needed for either lift. Thanks

You wont need longer brake lines with the 4.5 superlift, not sure about the 6" lift.

My only suggestion is getting better coil springs for the front, havent had a single problem with death wobble or noise, my only complaint about the superlift is the coil springs being too stiff, other than that, great kit for the money. I plan on running 37s later as well when these tires wear out...

I have the superlift 6" and I like it. It is stiff like you said but I am in the same boat you are. you don't need longer brake lines. If you go with the superlift spend the extra 200 and order it with the bilsteins.

I'm running the fabtech on mine it has a very nice ride. It may say 5" but its only 4.5" and the back blocks are only 1" so it kind of bulldogs. Nicest riding lift of the three I've owned.
